Wedding choreographer cost in Ahmedabad (2026): per dance vs 10-song packages

Short answer
Most Ahmedabad choreographers sell a 10-song sangeet package: listings on WedMeGood mostly start at ₹10,000–₹35,000, and established studios at ₹50,000–₹80,000. I charge per dance instead: Solo ₹2,500, Couple ₹3,500, Group ₹3,500, each with 10–12 days of training.
Most families perform 3–6 dances, so they pay roughly ₹7,500–₹21,000, and only for what they dance.
What Ahmedabad choreographers charge
When families start looking for a sangeet choreographer, the first thing they usually see is a package price for 10 songs. I checked the Ahmedabad sangeet choreographer listings on WedMeGood in November 2026. These are the starting prices vendors post themselves, so treat them as a rough guide rather than final quotes.
| Type of choreographer | Listed starting price | What usually changes the price |
|---|---|---|
| A few newer vendors | ₹4,000–₹10,000 | Fewer sessions, smaller teams |
| Most choreographers | ₹10,000–₹35,000 | Number of sessions, home visits, venue rehearsal |
| Established studios | ₹50,000–₹80,000 | Backup dancers, props, show production, travel |
A package is not automatically bad value. It can make sense for a very large sangeet with ten or more performances. The catch is that many families do not need ten songs, but still pay for them.
Why I charge per dance
Every wedding is different. One family wants a single couple dance; another has cousins, parents and friends all on stage. Charging per dance means the price follows your programme, not a fixed bundle:
- Solo ₹2,500: bride, groom or one family member.
- Couple ₹3,500: bride and groom together.
- Group ₹3,500 per dance: one routine for the whole group of up to 10 people, whether it is cousins, friends or the full family. Bigger groups are quoted on WhatsApp.
- Each dance includes choreography set to your song, 10–12 days of training in 1.5–2 hour sessions at your home or my Odhav studio, and practice recordings.
- Book 4 or more performances and you get a special discount.
What a typical family actually pays
Here is what common sangeet programmes cost at per-dance prices, before any multi-performance discount:
| Programme | Dances | Total |
|---|---|---|
| Couple dance only | 1 couple | ₹3,500 |
| Couple + one family dance | 1 couple, 1 group | ₹7,000 |
| Bride solo + couple + two family dances | 1 solo, 1 couple, 2 group | ₹13,000 (4 dances: discount applies) |
| Bigger family sangeet | 1 solo, 1 couple, 4 group | ₹20,000 (discount applies) |
| Full 10-dance sangeet | 2 solo, 1 couple, 7 group | ₹33,000 (discount applies) |
For most families, with 3–6 dances, paying per dance comes in well under a typical 10-song package. If you really are planning ten or more performances, the total lands in the same range as a mid-market package, and the 4+ discount applies. Either way, you see the exact number before you book. You can add dances and see the total live in the programme builder.
Price note
Prices cover 10–12 days of training. The final price may change with practice hours and the number of days, for example if your family needs extra sessions or a shorter, intensive schedule.
What you are really paying for
The song count is only part of it. When you compare quotes, these are the things that decide whether the night goes well:
- Training time. How many days and how long each session is. First-time dancers need repetition, not just a routine shown once.
- Where you practise. Home visits save the whole family travel every evening.
- Practice recordings. Videos of the steps so people can rehearse between sessions.
- Steps for every level. Parents, kids and confident dancers in one routine, each with steps they can do.
- Stage planning. Entries, exits and formations set for the actual stage size.
Questions to ask any choreographer before you pay
- How many sessions are included, and how long is each one?
- Will you come to our home, or do we travel to a studio?
- Do we get practice videos?
- Can you set easier steps for elders or first-time dancers in the same routine?
- Do you plan entries and formations for our stage?
- Are travel or venue charges extra?
- How much advance is needed, and when is the rest due?
My answers: 10–12 days of 1.5–2 hour sessions, at your home or my studio, with practice recordings and stage formations. Travel charges apply outside Ahmedabad. A 50% advance confirms the date, and the rest is due when training is complete. I do not run trial lessons, but you can watch real practice and stage videos in the gallery.
