Act I. The choreographer
I’m Shruti Prajapati, a choreographer from Odhav, Ahmedabad, and I set the dances families perform at their weddings. I have danced at the ICC World Cup 2023 final ceremony at Narendra Modi Stadium and was named Best Female Dance Performer in 2022. I work with everyone who is dancing, from a bride planning a solo to cousins who have never danced, and build each routine around what they can do with confidence. Training takes 10–12 days of one-and-a-half to two-hour sessions, at your home or my studio, for sangeet, haldi, mehndi, reception and engagement.

I danced at the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 final ceremony. The same stage sense goes into every family dance I set.

Act IV. Twelve days to the stage
First message
Send your wedding date, the functions and who is dancing on WhatsApp. I reply with availability and a plan.
Songs and steps
We choose the songs together. I set steps for each person’s comfort, so first-timers and confident dancers share one stage.
Twelve rehearsals
Sessions of 1.5–2 hours at your home or my studio in Odhav, with recordings so everyone can practise in between.
The night
Entries and formations are set for your stage, so the family walks out knowing exactly where to stand.

Dance classes in Odhav
Group dance classes, on request
There are no fixed batches right now. Bring a group together, friends, family, your society or office, and I will run group dance classes for you at my studio in Odhav or at your place in east Ahmedabad, near Nikol, Vastral and Naroda.
Bollywood, Garba and folk. Kids and adults. Timing and fees depend on the group, so ask on WhatsApp.

How much does wedding choreography cost?+
Solo ₹2,500, Couple ₹3,500 and Group ₹3,500 per performance, including 10–12 days of training and practice recordings. Book 4 or more performances for a special discount. Prices cover 10–12 days of training; a group dance is for up to 10 people. Extra sessions and bigger groups are quoted on WhatsApp, and the final price may change with practice hours and the number of days.
How much time do we need?+
Just 10–12 days of training. Send me your wedding date and we’ll plan the sessions around it. Wedding sooner than that? Message me and we’ll plan intensive sessions.
Do you come to our home?+
Yes. Sessions can be at your home or venue anywhere in Ahmedabad, or at my studio in Odhav. Travel charges apply outside Ahmedabad.
Some of us have never danced.+
That’s normal at a wedding. I set steps around each person’s comfort, so first-time dancers and confident dancers perform together.
Do you run regular dance classes?+

How do we book?+
